Dogs by Melissa is a pet-obedience company — not a service-dog-task provider — but it plays a real role in the service dog pipeline, training solid obedience foundations for dogs before they move into partner service-dog programs such as 3K9 Working Dog Solutions and Phokus On My Canine. Melissa and her team have trained 500+ handlers across Southwest Florida.

• IGP Judge, DVG America (since 2011); 20+ years in dog sports, competing through the world level.
• 25+ years training dogs; founded Dogs by Melissa in 2015.
• Veterinary background: former veterinary technician, veterinary-dentistry specialist, and clinic office manager.
• Training philosophy: balanced, on/off-leash — timing, consistency, and motivation.
